Introduction
We are looking for retail staff who have a passion and energy to manage sales like no other person. If you are a target driven person, team leader with the ability to juggle a number of different tasks at the same time, we want YOU to apply.
Specification
MAIN PURPOSE
To deliver exceptional customer service at the till points, and creating a positive, lasting impression as the customer leaves the store.
KEY OUTCOMES
Demonstrates customer service (Customer)
•Greet, smile and acknowledge customers.
•Thank card customers by name to ensure exceptional customer service
Applies selling skills (Cross Selling & Service)
•Demonstrates understanding of World of Difference by offering non card customers the loyalty card
•Offers the customers available services(e.g. utility bill payments & airtime)
Processes till transactions effectively (Cross Selling & Service)
•Processes till transactions efficiently and effectively in line with till policies and procedures e.g. checks scanned price against sku ticket (product price in FSA stores)
•Scans and packs efficiently at till points and check all payments for irregularities
•Understand and promote the different methods of payment or transactions (e.g. Gift cards, World of difference cards)
Demonstrates product knowledge and standards (Knowledge)
•Knows what special events are being promoted in the store (e.g. Christmas, Mother’s Day, Valentine’s Day)
Adheres to shop keeping disciplines (Presentation)
•Maintain a hygienic, safe and well-organised till point
Minimizes shrinkage (Knowledge)
•Reporting acts of dishonesty related to shrinkage and fraud to your line manager or shrinkage hotline
•Minimizing shrinkage by adhering to all corporate store disciplines
Demonstrates personal leadership (Leadership)
•Demonstrates self-discipline with regards to attendance, dress code policy, hygiene and timekeeping
•Attends/is informed of the game plan/team meeting to
Requirements
•Preferably Grade 12 or equivalent NQF level
•Available and flexible to work different shifts
•On-the-job training will be provided however relevant working experience will be advantageous
