Specification

MAIN PURPOSE
To support the store management team in achieving sales targets and KPI’s. This is achieved through coordinating and performing all stock room activities in accordance with store policies to maintain an organised and hygienic stockroom and to optimise stock movement
This position is responsible for delivering agreed outputs in relation to the Stockroom

KEY OUTCOMES

1.Stock Control and Movement

•Co-ordinate the accurate and efficient movement and associated administration related to moving stock in and out of the store/ stockroom eg.IBT’s, RTA, RTV in accordance to company procedures and policies
•Coordinate and follow up on all consolidation, IBT’s, RTA’s and RTV’s to ensure that this is received and actioned within the prescribed timeframes

•Coordinate and follow up with the courier company to ensure daily collections from the distribution centre
•Ensure that all procedures relating to packing of breakable merchandise are followed by stores
•Ensure the coordination and movement monthly launch product into company Stores
•Provide feedback as required to Stockroom Department Managers about the status of the stock situation for the stores in the region

•Maintain an accurate filing system
•Scrutinise daily stock control reports, investigate and resolve any discrepancies or anomalies
•Ensure that the stockroom layout is maintained
•Ensure that all requisitions and stock movement as per the company policy

2.Customer Service
•Build clear and concise communication with stock controllers, management and teams.
•Provide support to the stockrooms and store teams by communicating the slow/ moving lines, IBT and consolidating stock.
•Assist in stockrooms that are under staffed or filling in for staff on leave or day off.
•Provide feedback to stores of fast and slow moving lines to assist with stock consolidations
•Conduct yourself in a professional manner when in store, adhering to all company procedures and policies – remembering that customers cannot distinguish between stockroom and store teams.
•To make internal customers shopping experience as easy and effective as possible.
•Knowledge of current season trends in order to best advise customers.

3.Shrinkage & Risks
•Participate in Stocktakes which should be conducted according to company procedure
•Follow company policies and procedures in relation to stock movement
•Ensure compliance to the OHASA policies and procedures
•Plan and execute ad-hoc stock counts in the different stockrooms as advised by the stockroom manager and within set time frames
•Analyze and action reports to reduce data integrity i.e.: sales no stock and top 20 sellers

4. Security
•Ensure the highest possible standard of security to minimize stocktakes variance by:
•Assisting management with any discrepancies in a timely manner

•Checking all rubbish before removal
•Ensure stock has tags when IBT’s to other stores or stockrooms as per the company policies
•Follow company risk and security procedures in the stockroom. E.g. High Risk Key Control and stock movement controls
•Attend shrinkage meetings

5.Teamwork
•Participate professionally within a team, working towards the achievement of department/Store budgets & goals
•Sharing opinions, knowledge and experiences with others
•Complying with company policies & procedures for the safety of fellow employees & customers
•Participation in out of normal hour’s activities such as stocktakes, Team Meetings and product workshops
•Demonstrate the company Behaviors at all times

Requirements
•Preferably Grade 12 or equivalent NQF level
•Available and flexible to work different shifts
•Relevant years’ experience in the Retail/FMCG industry advantageous
