The individual will be responsible to the Head of Finance in the management of the Finance functions of Liberty Life Botswana. The individual is also responsible for the audit engagements which relate to these processes. The individual will also develop projects and initiatives that meet the strategic goals of the business unit and group.

Key Responsibilities

·       Financial Reporting and IFRS

·       Experience in financial statement preparation

·       Financial management

·       Monthly management reporting and variance analysis

·       Tracking key performance metrics and a product and distribution channel experience

·       Debtor Management

·       Accounts payable management

·       Shareholder accounting

·       Development and continuous improvement of Accounting processes and financial controls

·        Developing and perform robust reconciliations process and assist in the pro-actively

·        Management of suspense accounts

·       Input in the annual Budgeting process

·       Liaise with internal and external auditors

·       Team management

·       Tax  Management– creat a strong tax compliance environment while mitigating tax risk

Qualifications

·       BICA, ACCA,CIMA,CA, (SA) with at three to four years post qualifying experience in a corporate environment

Experience

·       3 years’ experience in financial services and preferably insurance (post CA/ACCA/CIMA/BICA qualification)

Knowledge

·       SAP, MS Office, Extensive financial accounting knowledge

·       Financial Services regulatory environment knowledge
