COST ACCOUNTANT – BOTSWANA RAILWAYS

Botswana Railways invites applications from suitably qualified Accountants to fill the position of Cost Accountant tenable within the Finance and Corporate Services Department in Botswana Railways Headquarters – Mahalapye

Main Purpose of the Job:

Reproting directly to the Director of Finance and Corporate Services within Botswana Railways, the candidate will be responsible for collecting and analysing the business financial information through the application of modern accounting techniques to determine the cost of business products and services. Lead in the development and verification of relevant data and conduct a compa-ratio analysis of actual cost against the internal business estimates and recommend appropriate variance mitigation factors.

Educational:

• Accounting Degree qualification plus fully qualified ACCA, CA or CIMA and Membership to BICA or any other Accounting Professional Body

Experience:

• Minimum of five years cost accounting experience at a Management level and knowledge of Accounting Software or ERP systems
