You will be required to originate new business, retain current business and identify opportunities to cross and upsell the bank’s products, services and solutions to meet the branch’s revenue, profitability and customer service targets.
In growing and managing the client portfolio you will source clients through referrals (e.g. from customers, colleagues, bank’s JV partners and through networking) exert cold calling skills, sound presentation, facilitation and negotiation skills and have excellent knowledge of retail banking products and sales processes across multiple channels for such.
You should have sound knowledge of Risk and Compliance; Regulatory and Branch adherence to KYC for instance. The incumbent should set the pace and tone for the function and ensures everyone is focused on the right priorities and taking full responsibility for performance management of all direct reports, focusing on all aspects of sound people management.
Minimum Education or Qualifications:
• Certificate in Banking and relevant business degree plus COP (Certificate of Proficiency) as required by NBFIRA.
• 3+ years’ retail banking experience with exposure to sales and client relationship management.
Competencies:
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Sound knowledge of banking operations.
Key Skills and Experience:
• Accounting knowledge.
• Credit and risk management knowledge.
• Proven track record in converting opportunities into revenue generation.
• Valid driver’s license.
