You will manage the day-to-day administration and credit operations for in-country corporate lending programs and maintain a robust control environment to minimize the bank’s risk exposure and maximize portfolio profitability.

Minimum Education or Qualifications:

• Relevant business degree; post-graduate qualification
preferred
• 5 – 7 years’ Corporate credit risk experience with
exposure to leading a team and building financial
models to analyze complex transactions
• Knowledge of emerging markets (advantageous)

Competencies:

• Experience of working in Africa (advantageous)
• Experience in holding a personal credit mandate (advantageous)

• Strong knowledge of the full MS Office skills with Advanced Excel
Key Skills and Experience:

You must have sound understanding of the in-country regulatory and legal framework that guides the lending of money with an insight in Regulatory changes.

You should also be highly analytical and attentive to detail, be able to interrogate data, combined with strong developed judgement and decision-making skills.

This would include Currency movements, Market movements, Macro and microeconomic events, Evolving technology, Changes to credit and broader risk frameworks and trends in risk thinking, Product developments, new geographies, new industries.

The incumbent should be skilled in financial modelling and forecasting. Knowledgeable of Corporate credit fundamentals and structured lending as well as of credit administration, credit analysis and restructuring.
