WENTZEL GROUP – GENERAL MANAGER – MAIN DECK RESTAURANT

Job purpose

The general manager will effectively lead, manage and develop overall store operations and team members to execute best practices and maximize sales and profitability.

Reports to: Group Director

Minimum Experience and qualifications

• Degree in business administration/ finance / accounting/ management or industrial relations

• Possession of Food Safety Certification or the ability to obtain same within 6 months of placement.

• 5 years proven leadership as a restaurant General Manager.

• Demonstrated strong customer service skills, effectively addressing customer issues and controlling business impact.

• Computer literacy required, including the use of spreadsheets

• Fluency in English and Setswana

Key Responsibilities

1. Manage, support and develop managers through feedback, praise, and recognition

2. Conduct weekly meetings to discuss departments’ progress, financial results, recommendations and training enhancements.

3. Measure team member results and conduct regular evaluations of direct and indirect reports; evaluate management team and store team members to determine areas that require additional training

6. Hygiene, Safety and Housekeeping

7. Customer service
