Compliance Supervisor

Job Description

Reporting to the Commercial Manager, the position is responsible for ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures across all operational and business areas. Conducting investigations into any incidents of non-compliance – criminal activities, theft, misappropriation, accidents, property damage, misconducts and loses to the company in accordance with company policy, local laws, permits and other regulatory requirements. Highlights possible threats, vulnerabilities and risks to the company’. Provide timelines for investigations and proposes, mitigation measures and resolution to cases. Works with departmental heads to resolve issues. Supports the company mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity, with a goal of continuous improvement.

Job Requirements

Degree/Diploma in Security Management or related field; Minimum of 6 years post qualification experience, 3 of which should be at Senior Security Officer level in a Mining Security  Related Environment. Ability to conduct confidential and sensitive investigations in a timely manner and experience in a mining environment and on matters of health and safety experience will be an advantage.

Applicants with a least five years’ experience in conducting investigations into criminal activities or security and safety incidents, compliance and due diligence issues developed through a professional background within the police or intelligence services, or in the private sector as an auditor /investigator, compliance or HSSE officer will be considered. Applicants must have a clean Class B driver’s license.
