JOB TITLE: BOOKKEEPER, ACCOUNTING & LOANS OFFICER

The job entails looking after accounting and administration duties for a company that receives different streams of income from, farming, consulting and microfinance.

PURPOSE OF JOB

Manage financial records and maintain primary books of account. Process payment and receipt money, manage bank reconciliations. Process loan applications and maintain proper records with regards to the loan book.

Make follow up on loans outstanding to clients. Manage other administration duties as required.

ACCOUNTING

• Process payments ensuring completeness in documentation and proper authorisation
• Process receipts ensuring all money received is recorded in the proper books of account
• Bank reconciliations to ensure an accurate record of cash
• Monthly management accounts
• Any other duties that may arise in accounting and administration as LOANS
• Accurate recording of loans with all supporting documentation
• Proper document handling and filing of sensitive private information
• Relationship management and development with clients
• Follow up of outstanding loans to ensure no late payments
• Carry out other admin duties as required by superiorsrequired.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, administration and or related field or AAT
• Understanding of accounting principles, theories, practices and terminology
• An analytical mind and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• High proficiency in written and spoken English is essential
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office essential
