PROCUREMENT AND SUPPLIES MANAGER

Main Purpose of the Job
1.To plan, organise, manage and control the procurement and supplies functions for the institute to ensure that the Company sources quality goods and services effectively and provides the same to the user Departments in the same conditions at the right time.

2.Define the objectives and goals of the Department derived from those of the Company and appraising them regularly.

3.Develop policies and procedures for the Department to ensure that the right goods and services are sourced at a competitive price through a process that is accordingly aligned with those outlined in the PPAD Act.

Requirements
Degree in Supply Chain and Management or equivalent.
Full Membership of the Chartered Institute of Purchase and Supplies Management or Masters’s Degree in Supply Chain and Materials Management.
At least five (5) years post qualification experience in Procurement and Supplies Management,of which three (3) years will have been at middle management level, organizing and controlling procurement and inventory management activities in a computerized environment. Knowledge of both commercial and manufacturing procurement and inventory management practices is essential.
