Project Manager

Duties/ Responsibilities: As the Project Manager, you will take ultimate responsibility for the performance of projects in regards to scheduling, cost control, quality outcomes and the relationships developed with all project stakeholders. The Project Manager will manage the coordination of resources in key areas against projected activities through the building cycle. We are seeking candidates who have a successful history in the delivery of profitable projects which are complex by nature so the ability to actively seek out additional revenue generating opportunities beyond those in the original project scope are critical.

Responsibilities:

• Manage communication with customers and key stakeholders throughout the construction process
• Progress and budget reporting – managing variations and scope changes
• Manage risk reviews and status updates – ensuring project cost and associated risks are managed appropriately
• Ensure that the work is carried out in line with clearly defined procedures and guidelines, and work in a well-organized manner.
• Achievement of the company’s safety targets by developing and maintaining a safety focused culture
• Ensuring compliance to statutory and company’s policy requirements
• Reviewing and administering contracts through to commissioning and operation readiness
• Contracts administration and cost management
• Work closely with the sales/business development team in pre-tender and tender activities to ensure appropriate outcomes

Qualifications & Experience:

• BSc in the build environment / Construction Management
• Project Management qualification is an added advantage
• 5 – 10 years’ experience in the building industry
• Experience in a Project Manager role is essential
