Vacancy: Social Worker

Applications are invited from suitably qualified Botswana citizens for the position of Social Worker.

Main purpose of the job

The Social Worker provides comprehensive services to children and trainees, caregivers and Centre staff.

The Incumbent addresses barriers that inhibit children and trainees receiving the benefit of education and training by employing appropriate social work methods to ensure positive outcomes.

Conduct assessment of children and trainees’needs

Conduct parent interview, review records and plan for intervention.

Conduct home visits to assess the family and home set up.

Liaise with other professionals in relation to appropriate interventions

Assist in settling clients in the Centre as well as in the community.

Salary: C4 Scale (75 624 – 90 336.00).

Leave Days. 25 working days.

Qualifications: Diploma in Social Work.

Age: 25 to 45 Years.

Experience: Two (2) years working as a Social Worker. Working with children and youth with intellectual challenges will be an added advantage
