BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER – MUPANE GOLD MINE

• Identifying and defining business opportunities that will provide a positive contribution to the long term future of the corporation and its subsidiaries
• Contributing to ensuring there is a comprehensive suite of fit for purpose systems in place,and operating properly,in the Mining Department and identifying and recommending improvements
• Developing and assisting in the implementation of short,medium and long-term plans designed to optimize recovery of ore from targeted ore bodies-in a manner that does not compromise the life-of-mine plan

• Managing the development and implementation of programs that maximize the conversion of resources to reserves and delineate the ore bodies to be mined
• Directing and controlling the provision of technical advice in relation to mine
• Design,mining methods and equipment to optimize mine production
• Contributing to ensuring that the Mining Department meets all relevant internal and external compliance obligations

Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer (COO),the successful applicant will hold a relevant Mining related Degree and Business Management qualification with a minimum of 9 years in the mining field with bias towards geology,mine design,mining methods and equipment in a fast-paced environment.

Successful candidates will have a good track record in the Mining Industry and extensive knowledge of business management and comprehensive knowledge of the Mines Regulations and excellent technical knowledge and skills, including strong organisational and operational skills.

The candidate must be willing to travel between any of Galane Gold’s operations (Mupane Gold Mine, Botswana, Galaxy Gold, South Africa and any other site relevant to Galane gold’s interests).

Further to this, the candidate should have extensive/specific experience with:

• Mining-related software packages (Surpac)
• Greenstone Gold and various other mineral environments
• Refractory ore deposits
• Gold processing and recovery methods

Mupane Gold Mining (Pty) Ltd (MGM) is a 100% owned subsidiary of the Canadian TSX.Mupane Gold Mining (Pty) Ltd, Botswana and Galaxy Gold Mining (Pty) Ltd, South Africa are 100% owned subsidiaries of the Canadian TSX Venture Exchange-listed company GALANE GOLD LTD (the corporation), a gold producer and explorer with its operations in the Republic of Botswana and South Africa.

The Mupane Gold Mine is located approximately 50 kilometres by road from Francistown in north eastern Botswana. In continuous operation since 2005, MGM has recently increased the operational life of mine and exploration activities are on-going to determine if there are further opportunities to develop additional resources.

Galaxy Gold is situated 6 km west of Barbeton in the Mpumalanga province in South Africa. Galane Gold acquired Galaxy Gold in November 2015.

This operation is currently in care and maintenance.
