DATA PLANNING MANAGER – BTC

Reporting directly to the Head of Technology Planning, the candidate will be responsible for developing detailed designs for all new data network solutions designed by the Solutions Section in support of the BTC business strategy, creating and managing the high-level data network, platform plans and solutions to meet capacity requirements. The incumbent will also provide the functional and non-functional parts of RFQ (e.g. technical specifications) for data network projects and develop a highly productive, skilled and motivated workforce in the Data Planning Section through the adoption of performance management procedures. You will be expected to make compelling business cases for capital investment in networks and systems working with Finance Department to demonstrate returns on investment.

The ideal candidate should have an HND/Degree in Telecommunication Engineering or equivalent coupled with six (6) years’ professional experience in Telecommunications/ ICT environment for Degree holders and eight (8) years’ for HND holders. Membership of a relevant professional body will be an added advantage.
