POWER TECHNICIAN – BTC

Reporting directly to the Power and Air-conditioning Team Leader, the ideal candidate will be responsible for implementing, operating and maintaining power network systems in accordance with the required specifications and standards. The incumbent will also monitor, analyse and correct power network performance statistics on a daily basis, maintain network performance as per the contracted KPIs (network reliability, availability and service integrity) and produce reports for all failures with prolonged downtime and impact on customer service delivery. You will be responsible for the application, communication and execution of planned maintenance on all power network systems, including generators, rectifiers, UPS, battery, chiller plants, etc.).

The ideal candidate should have a Diploma Electrical and Electronics Engineering/ Telecommunications Engineering or equivalent with two (2) years’ experience in maintaining power and electrical systems in a telecommunications environment. Membership of a professional association will be an added advantage.
