HOSPITAL PORTER

Stocksure Holdings is a dynamic 100% citizen owned company based in Botswana. The 
company was established to carry out the business of contract Office Cleaning, Hospital
Cleaning, Sanitary (SHE) Bin Maintenance, Chemical and Clinical Waste Disposal. We are
looking for hospital porters, to provide professional, efficient and effective health care services
that will enhance the appearance of clients’ premises and support a healthy environment. The
position reports to the Infection Control Officer and is tenable in Gaborone.

Core Accountabilities and Responsibilities

1. Transportation of patients, in beds or wheelchairs within the hospital units/wards
2. Transportation of food trolleys between catering department and patient wards
3. Moving of hospital furniture and equipment
4. Collecting blood samples and medical specimens from wards, clinics and theatres, and
taking them to laboratories.
5. Transportation of medicine from pharmacy
6. Circulation of mail from administration department
7. Transportation of deceased patients from ward to the mortuary
8. Collecting waste, some of which may be hazardous
9. Transporting files and pharmacy boxes to different parts of the hospital
10. Taking patients from their ward to consultations and back again
11. Collecting waste, some of which may be hazardous
12. Distributing clean linen to wards
