Food & Beverage Manager

The F&B Manager should be hands-on with the management of F&B operations at the lodge, working efficiently and effectively within budget and to the highest standing whilst leading the team by mentoring & motivating employees.

Requirements
• Proven food and beverage management experience in a similar lodge environment.
• Minimum 2 years experience as a Food and Beverage Manager or Assistant F&B Manager
• Hospitality and/or food and beverage qualification
• Up to date with food and beverage trends and best practices
• Guest-oriented and service-minded
• Knowledge of budgeting and financial management.
• Ability to spot and resolve problems efficiently.
• Mastery in delegating multiple tasks.
• Communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to manage personnel and meet financial targets.
• Working knowledge of various computer software programs (MS Office, Opera, POS)
• Must have excellent Wine Knowledge
• Must be able to control costs and purchasing required Must be well spoken and well presented
• Be responsible for all staffing in the restaurant and banqueting
• Be involved in the marketing of the restaurant and conference venue and initiate special events such as our Jazz Sundays, Wine Events or Picnics
• Be involved in the hosting and training of staff
• Be involved in aspects of the hotel guests’ experience
