The Site Agent will report to the Contracts Manager, will be in charge of roadworks, layerworks and seal operations and further be responsible for:

• Effective optimisation of financial performance of site
• Implementation of site specific systems e.g. trend analysis, forecasts, procurement controls
• Managing quality of site deliverables
• Managing site teams and identification and allocation of resources in line with project requirements, e.g. staff, plant, sub- contractors
• Managing performance of staff under control
• Health and Safety initiatives
• Building and maintaining Relationship with client

QUALIFICATION/REQUIREMENTS

• B Eng, BSc, B-Tech or National Diploma in Civil Engineering
• Must be Registered with SACPCMP
• Minimum of 10 years’ Experience in the Construction of large roads on SANRAL projects
• Must have run a Roads Contract as a SITE AGENT or Fulfilled the Site agent role on large road contract reporting to a Contracts Manager
• Must be familiar with the COLTO  specifications
• Must have asphalt experience
• Must have Quantity Surveying experience, WRT completing Interim Payment certificates, new rates etc.
• Must have Commercial experience to be able to write contractual letters to the Client
• Cross border work experience will be an advantage.
• Must be SA Citizen
• Must have a Valid Driver’s Licence
• Must hold a valid SA passport
• Must be prepared to travel extensively and work across Southern Africa/Africa.
