TECHNICAL RECORDS OFFICER – AIR BOTSWANA

1. TECHNICAL RECORDS OFFICER

Reporting to the Technical Services Manager, the candidate will be responsible for accurately maintaining aircraft technical records, log books, and other related materials and publications to ensure availability and distribution of up-to-date information needed to ensure legal compliance and aircraft maintenance. Key responsibilities include;

1. Availability, accuracy and completeness of records. Management input, updating and control of aircraft maintenance data into the Air Botswana continuing airworthiness record system and security of documentation.
2. Ensures that airworthiness directives, service bulletin and modifications/embodiments are controlled and accurately recorded in the airworthiness system.
3. Ensures that all aircraft, engine, APU and propeller log books are maintained and statements are accurately recorded.
4. Assists in the production and development of departmental/sectional procedures.
5. Compiles monthly utilization reports and other reports that may be required by the Engineering department or external organizations
6. Assists in compiling and printing of aircraft maintenance work packs, ensuring that all required documentation is present
7. Checks daily flight and technical logs and extracts relevant information to generate data for use to plan and schedule inspections and maintenance.

1.2 POSITION MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education         COSC/Diploma in Aviation Training.

Professional/Technical   Training in records keeping/Documentation. Aircraft

maintenance license will be an added advantage.

Experience

At   least                   3 years in aircraft technical  records/ maintenance Environment
