purpose
To assist the Financial Account and Senior Manager Finance in carrying out the yearly, quarterly, monthly, and day to day financial reporting duties of the department. To ensure integrity of the Bank’s general ledger as well as playing a significant role in ensuring that the Financial Accounting section meets its reporting deliverables timely and accurately to both FNBB and FirstRand SA.
experience and qualifications
Degree in Accounting/Finance Have a basic understanding of financial accounting and finance
responsibilities
Production of monthly Flash within agreed time frame. Submission of monthly reporting Faspack (HFM) to Group. Processing of monthly journals into the general ledger (GL). Ensuring alignment of ESSBASE, GL, and HFM. Submission of other monthly reporting deliverables. Production of the Bank’s annual financial statements in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). Regular review of the GL to ensure its integrity.
