Botswana Qualifications Authority (BQA) is a parastatal under the Ministry of Tertiary Education Research Science and Technology. It draws its mandate from the BQA Act No.24 of 2013. Its main objectives are to provide for and maintain a National Credit and Qualifications Framework (NCQF) and to coordinate the Education, Training and Skills Development Quality Assurance System.

ADMINISTRATION ASSISTANT
Job Summary:
- Assist the Administration Officer in providing office support services.
Main Duties
- Process and distribute mails daily as per schedules, prepare mails for Botswana Post and couriers to collect, and keep incoming and outgoing mail records.
- Operate photocopier and other basic office equipment.
- Carry out basic maintenance checks and replenishment of stationery.
- Collate and bind reports, papers and parcels as required.
- Maintain file registers and file movement forms.
- Locate and retrieve files, documentation and correspondence as required.
- Organize venue and refreshments for internal meetings, seminars, etc.
- Assist the Administration Officer in clerical work attached to: Office cleaning, landscaping, gardening, security services, Utility and insurance services
- Repair, maintenance and disposal of furniture and non IT equipment
- Provide temporary clerical assistance to departments as and when required.
- Undertakes any other duty/duties required to meet the objectives of the Authority Key Performance Indicators
Efficient and effective administration services (quick, timely, quality etc.)
Position Requirements:
Education:
- At least BGCSE and a Certificate in Office Administration from a recognised institution or any other relevant qualification acceptable to BQA
Experience:
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience in Office Administration Required Competencies:
Technical competencies
- Basic computer skills.
- Communication and interpersonal skills.
- Flexibility, dependability and dedication.
- Compliance with procedures instructions, rules and regulations.
- Service oriented and client focused.

BQA offers a competitive remuneration package commensurate with the responsibilities and challenges of the job.
Terms of employment
Fixed term contract of 1-5 years for Managerial Positions and above and Permanent and Pensionable terms for officer positions and below.
