Executive Chef

The Executive Chef leads, guides, manages and trains our young team in a multi-outlet operation. We seek to employ an individual with Extensive Kitchen Management expertise in 4 & 5 star luxury hotel environments and a thorough knowledge of international food trends are required, paired with strong controls and a passion for training, mentoring and skills transfer.

Key Focus Areas

All Kitchen aspects: a la carte restaurant, buffets for breakfast, lunch and dinner – Room service. Bar menu. Functions and Weddings ; Enforce, implement and monitor strong controls; Design, train, implement and monitor menus in line with the agreed food style and international food trends; Ensure that Health & Safety procedures are practiced and adhered to; Staff management with focus on succession planning and development; Drive the implementation of training projects and programs;

Requirements –

Qualifications and Skills:

Minimum of 5 years Kitchen Management experience in a 4 & 5 star environment; Extensive luxury hotel experience advantageous; recognized qualification advantageous; Thorough knowledge of international food trends, with expertise in menu planning/compilation; enforcing controls, with a passion for training and skills transfer.
