JOB SUMMARY

The Incumbent will be tasked with managing the financial aspects of the company and analyze everyday financial activities.

The position directly reports to Chief Financial Officer

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

QUALIFICATIONS:

– Degree in Finance, Accounting or equivalent and Professional qualification eg ACCA, CIMA or CA.

Membership of the Botswana Institute of Accountants.

EXPERIENCE:

– At least 7 years’ experience at management level.

– Proven experience as a Financial Manager, Extensive experience in computerised accounting systems and applications essential

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:

– Ensure that the department runs in accordance with laid down procedures – Maintain proper control systems

– Timely production of management and year-end accounts in accordance with IFRS.

– Ensure proper management of company assets – Maintain company cash flows

– Liaison with internal & external auditors and implementing relevant internal control recommendations.

– Ensure the consistency, reliability, completeness and quality of accounting information.

– Oversee quality analysis of accounts and review of reconciliations.

– Plan and organise month end closing procedures for the whole finance department.

– Manage external audit exercise and relationship with external auditors.

– Preparation of forecasts and budgets.

– Oversees the procurement activities of the entity.

– Supporting the operational functions in maintaining key customer relationship.
