ICL Botswana, an IT Solutions and Services company, seeks to engage the services of a highly skilled senior level executive to fill the post of Business Development Manager Suitably qualified and skilled candidates are invited to apply, giving full details of qualifications and relevant working experience.
Business Development Manager Responsibilities
- Provide Leadership and Supervisory role in the Business Development Department
- Oversee the company’s Business Strategic Development. Sales and Marketing activities
- Conduct Sales Team skills training, coaching and enablement
- Draw up Sales and Market penetration strategy plans
- Meet and grow the company’s annual sales targets as set by the ICL board.
- Coach each individual Sales Executive to meet their annual sales targets
- Conduct departmental weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly performance reviews
- Ensure Large Account Management planning is implemented
- Enforce effective Forecast Management
- Enforce effective Partner Management
- Enforce effective Marketing Management Enforce and periodically review the department processes
- Participate and co-lead the company Budgeting process
- Enforce an effective succession plan focussed on the Sales Team Leader
- Drive new and relevant partner acquisition in line with ICL Botswana strategy
- Drive new and relevant customer and solutions acquisitions in the chosen ICL domains
- Drive the entry into new significant markets and product lines
- Provide leadership in solution/product knowledge, customer knowledge and customer relations.
- Conduct regular competitor analysis, auditing current company offerings, procedures and policies to enhance performance by the business.
- Set objectives, sales targets and training plans for the department
- Develop customer interaction, liaison and retention programs for the company.
- Participate fully in the company’s strategic and operational management functions.
- Project Manage IT projects when required
Desired Minimum Qualifications.
Qualities & Requirements
- 10 years minimum experience in IT
- 5 years extensive experience in Sales and Marketing of IT solutions
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience at Senior Management level
- Minimum Qualification BSc Computer Science. Electrical Engineering. Information System etc.
- MBA or Masters degree will be an added advantage
- Post graduate qualification in Business is an added advantage
- PRINCE2 Project Management experience
- ITIL certification
- Proven Training and Coaching capability for the development of an effective sales team
- Planning. Budgeting and Account Management experience
- Working knowledge of Enterprise Software Systems such as ERP. CRM EDRMS. etc
- Exceptional networking and good rapport building skills
- Proven ability to lead a successful sates team
- Proven Bid Management Capabilities for large projects
- Demonstrate good Business Solution mapping capabilities
- Proven sales track record preferably of large IT systems/projects
- Ability to meet deadlines, effective time management, results oriented
