Applications are invited from suitably qualified Batswana Citizens for the below post tenable in Kgatleng District Council.

POST:     Temporary Poverty Eradication  Project    Officer   (12 Months)

SALARY:    C3 (P93 720 -Pm 996   per    annum)

QUALIFICATIONS: Degree in Community Development, Home Economics, Adult
Adult Education and or related field.

LEAVE:     25 working days per  annum

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

To assist with the implementation of the Poverty Eradication Programme for Economic Empowerment of individuals and communities

DUTIES:

1. Implement and monitor poverty eradication programs and all activities at the area of operation.
2. Prepares weekly, monthly and quarterly reports of Poverty Eradication Programs.
3. Attends and address Kgotla meetings on Poverty Eradication Programme and document progress or challenges.
4. Assist group in identifying markets for their products.
5. Conduct mini surveys on the impact of implementation of Poverty Eradication Programs.
6. Conduct training for beneficiaries of Poverty Eradication Programmes.
7. Liaises with other Government/stakeholders on dissemination of information, technical advice and resources.
8. Works closely with the community to identify local needs and the available resources in order to raise awareness for economic empowerment.
9. Undertakes any other related duties as directed by management.
