Facilitator (Life-skills, Talk Show Groups and Peer Education) – HOPE worldwide Botswana

This position works in collaboration and continuous partnership with the community to ensure uptake of Anti-Alcohol & Drug Abuse.

Roles and Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
• Producing site plan with target.
• Providing youth with education and life-skills necessary to reduce alcohol and substance abuse
• Conduct talk group sessions with in-school and out-of-school youth to discuss issues of alcohol and drug abuse and prevention
• Conduct awareness campaigns with in-schools and out-of-school youth sensitising them on dangers of alcohol and drug abuse
• Working with other stakeholders in the district for referrals purposes.
• Giving weekly update on time for each site and produce weekly, monthly and quarterly reports.
• Mobilise the community to attend planned sessions.
Required Qualifications, experience and competencies:
• BGCSE
• Certificate in Social Work, Community Development, Youth Work, Education or related will be an added advantage
• Computer Literacy
• Good communication skills
