Choppies Distribution Centre (Pty) Ltd requires a motivated and dedicated individual to fill the position of CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER (CFO) to be responsible for the Group’s financial operation

Duties & Critical Outputs

Oversee and manage all the financial issues within the company. This includes, but not limited to;

• Planning, managing and control the accurate recording and processing of el accounting information of all retail chain shops
• Preparations of budgets, months management accounts, Quarterly & annual financial statements of the Group
• Ensuring that the accounts reflect an accurate and true record of financial transactor and putting to place operational procedures for timely resolution of debtor/ creditor queries.
• Working capital management
• Capital budgeting
• Fundraising
• Tax management & administration of the Group
• Audit Liaison (Internal & external).
• Listing Requirements & Adherence

Qualifications & Experience

• A Chartered Accountant with a minimum of 15 years’ experience in FMCG industry.
• Must be registered with BICA.
• Must have held senior finance positions covering multiple markets (geographies).
• Hive held senior leadership positions m a business with an annual turnover exceeding U$1 billion.

CHARTERED ACCOUNTANT

The main purpose of the job is to support all round finance and Accounting duties, reporting to the 6ro«p CFO. The ideal candidates should meet the following requirements.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Timely and accurate preparation of monthly company management accounts.
• Involvement m budgeting and forecasting process.
• Prepares balance sheet and cash flow, forecast modelling.
• Review of client contracts and proposals, including pricing decisions.
• Close liaison with divisional accounts managers to resolve issues.
• Regular overseas visits to understand territory results, budgeting and forecasting and controls review*

Qualifications and Experience

• CA/ACA qualified- Other accountancy qualifications such as ACCA/CIMA/ICAI will be considered.
• A minimum of 4 years of experience practicing
• Audit background preferred but not essential.
