CONTRACTS DIRECTOR – KALCON

Kalcon (Pty) Ltd is an established, locally registered company that is registered with the Public Procurement and Asset Disposal Board to undertake projects in the following fields: Construction. Rehabilitation and Maintenance of Roads, Bulk Earthworks, Earth Dams, Bridges, Airports, Infrastructure, General Civil Engineering Projects, Buildings and Entertainment Complexes.

CONTRACTS DIRECTOR

1. Must have advanced knowledge and experience in leading and managing multi-disciplinary construction projects encompassing Construction of Major Civil Engineering, comprising in bulk Earthworks and concrete structures. A minimum of twelve (12) years’ experience as Contracts Director within reputable Civil Engineering Contracts is crucial.
2. Must be self – starting, confident, assertive, accurate and able to achieve profitable results.
3. Ability to lead product, service development and efficient projects to deliver improved margins over the long term whilst maintaining the delivery of excellent customer service.
4. Ability to establish and maintain good working relationships within the construction community.
5. Excellent communication, presentation, negotiating problem solving skills numerical and budgeting skills.
6. An understanding of health and safety as well as quantity and surveying principles.
7. Good understanding of FIDIC Suite of Contracts and Contractual Management.
8. Knowledgeable with regards to production rates.
9. Must be able to do medium term strategic planning.
10. Must be Professional Engineer (Pr. Eng.) registered with professional body.

Bachelor of Science – Civil Engineering/equivalent
