QUALIFICATION:
Applicants must have at least a Bachelor Degree in Education.
A relevant Master’s Degree will be an added advantage.
EXPERIENCE:
A minimum of twelve (12) years relevant work experience, 2 years should have been served as Principal Education officer I at D2 salary scale in Botswana
Government or equivalent position and duties in the Private Sector or Parastatal Organisations.
MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB
To provide direct support to the Regional Director and Institutions in coordinating and supervising the execution of objectives of the Ministry in designated Region.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:
• Coordinates and maintains an effective information base for the Region and Institutions.
• Facilitates answers to Parliamentary questions.
• Facilitates the development of strategy and sound operational guidelines for the academic performance of institutions.
• Monitor performance and support schools in the region.
• Manages and reviews performance of supervisees.
• Monitors the budget expenditure to ensure appropriate utilisation.
• Identifies areas of strength and develops them further.
• Promoting communication and sharing of information.
• Chairs Regional boards.
• Undertake any other related duties as maybe assigned by Management to meet the exigency services.
