FINANCE MANAGER – OLD MUTUAL BOTSWANA

Old Mutual Botswana is a licensed insurance provider of short term and life insurance products. It is a subsidiary of Old Mutual Limited, a premium African financial services group.

FINANCE MANAGER (Permanent position)

This is a senior finance role within the Finance team. The incumbent should be able to produce accurate monthly statements for statutory and management purposes. The finance manager needs to be self-driven and result oriented.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

•Ensure the adequacy of the financial controls for the Old Mutual Group
•Implement effective controls to manage financial risk including setting up mitigating processes to counter effect the risks
•Undertake periodic self-assessment on key controls to assess the appropriate functioning and adequacy of existing controls
•Ensure accurate financial reporting of the Old Mutual Group statement of financial position and statement of comprehensive income
•Prepare monthly management accounts in accordance with international financial reporting standards
•Supervise the procurement, administration, accounts payable, accounts receivable and fixed assets teams
•Supervise the intercompany bookings and ensure we are able to consolidate into the group results
•Maintain complete general ledger
•Budgeting and forecasting
•Responsible for all the regulatory reporting requirements

JOB REQUIREMENTS

•B Com or degree in Finance
•ACCA, CIMA, BICA or equivalent professional qualification
•7 or more years’ finance/accounting work experience
