Job description

Serves as the ILEA’s sole telephone switchboard operator, with responsibilities of receiving and placing all calls and providing authorized information to callers. The incumbent serves answers calls, transferring to required extension and ensures that the messages are delivered promptly.

Places both local and long distance calls using the latest IP based digital phone system. Records local and international calls for accounting purposes. Directs incoming calls to the appropriate individual/office. Takes reports and on malfunctioning telephones, gives details to the information Program Officer. Notifying internal staff arrival visitors and direct them to the correct section. In addition to these duties, incumbent reviews the projected employee instructor shuttle schedule received from drivers for correctness and accuracy.

Operates the fax machine, receives and distributes faxes, logging all outgoing faxes. Takes telephone messages for ILEA personnel. Receive all deliveries for ILEA, register and sign for them and direct them to the right department.
