Khoemacau Copper Mining (Pty) Ltd (Khoemacau) is a Botswana registered company dial holds the rights to prospecting licences and two mining licences in northwest Botswana We are looking for suitably qualified and highly motivated Botswana citizens with strong commitment to project implementation, strong team players capable of working both collaboratively and independently talented innovative, dynamic, and a high level of integrity You must have interest and ability to work in remote regions in a content of multicultural work environment

The position is based at Totong mine site between Maun and Sehithwa. While developing the fust mechanised underground hard rock mine in Botswana, we offer a great and stimulating work environment good bene’-ts and a competitive salary.

ELECTRICIAN

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:

To carry out inspections. Installations, system operations, maintenance and control activities to ensure power availability, quality of supply, electrical equipment availability and operational safety in the area of responsibility

KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:

• Work assessments, planning and scheduling
• Ensures retaliations compliance with statutory and wiring regulations.
• Carnes out pre-installation tests on electrical equipment
• Attends to system and equipment faults, and supply disruption issues to ensure timeous restoration of supply and plant
• Carnes out maintenance on equipment in accordance with an approved maintenance schedule to ensure availability of the plant.
• Monitors work carried out on site to ensure a safe environment and compliance with standards and procedures.
• Be able to be appointed as a 13(2) under MWQM
• Supervision and training of subordinates.
• Project management basic principles.
• Electronic drive technology experience (VSOs, soft starters etc).

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

• Electrician National Craft Certificate or equivalent.
• Minimum 4 years of work experience
• Driver’s license

ADDED ADVANTAGES:

• Air condition repairs and installation experience and training.
• Basic control and instrumentation
• Work experience in a mining environment
