VACANCY: TEMPORARY TECHNICAL OFFICERS/ASSISTANT SCIENTIFIC OFFICERS

Applications are invited from suitably qualified Botswana citizens for the above posts tenable in various extension areas in Kweneng District.

SALARY SCALES:

Technical Officers             C4 (P80,172—P95, 760) per annum

Assistant Scientific Officers  C3 (99,348-P118. 716 per annum

DURATION: 12 Month

LEAVE DAYS.                             25 Working days per         annum

Main purpose of the Job:

• To attend clinical cases, advice farmers on animal health and welfare matters (farmers training) and issue permits according to BAITS regulations.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:

• Undertake disease surveillance, prepare and submit samples to Botswana National Veterinary Laboratory.
• Issuance of electronic Livestock movement permits according to BAITS regulations
• Implementation of BAITS and market compliance.
• Keep all records of activities in the extension area
• Undertake any other duties assigned by the supervisor to meet the exigency of service

Working Experience:

Minimum of two (2) years working experience
