DIRECTOR, CENTRE FOR IN-SERVICE AND CONTINUING EDUCATION (CICE) wanted at Botswana University of Agriculture and Natural Resources

Accountable to the Deputy Vice Chancellor- Academic Affairs & Research, the successful candidate will be expected to provide strategic leadership and promote outreach & development education, through administering in-service, continuing and distance learning education.

The incumbent will be responsible for among others, the following

• Participating in the development of the overall University strategy.
• Formulating open distance learning, in service and continuing education policy.
• Developing and reviewing the academic programmes to ensure alignment to current market needs.
• Overseeing the streaming of open and distance learning, continuing and public education.
• Establishing, building and maintaining networks and partnerships with key stakeholders.

• Possess a Master’s Degree in Distance Education/ Education Management Extension, or related field and should have attained a Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field.
• Possess a professional qualification in Open and / or Distance Learning ,or related discipline.
• Possess at least ten (10) years experience as an academic staff member, four (4) of which should have been at Managerial level.
• Excellent record of educational extension activities, including research.
