Rhino Steel Rolling Mills (Pty) Ltd runs induction furnaces, Ingot Plant, CBCM and Rolling Mills. The company has the following vacancy in their plant:

MILL ROLL TURNER FITTER:

Applicants should be highly skilled in roll pass cutting and setting on the mill stands with proven experience.

Mill Turner Fitter prepares the roll pass, calculate dimensions and tolerances using knowledge of mathematics and instruments such as micrometres, and Vernier callipers.

Applicant should have knowledge in “Feed” speed adjustment, hardness and other specifications of roll metal of various grades. Applicant should be aware of different quality of rolls like chilled, cast irons. EN8, alloy steel. SG iron or forged and inspect the roll pass condition, fire cracks, wear and tear and other damages such as chips.

He will be responsible for roll condition whether undersized, harness, wobbler, journal slots, diameter and radius of the fillet.

The applicant should have a minimum of seven (7) years’ work experience in a similar field and be able to worts without supervision and provide training Education certificates are not essential but will have a preference.
