He should be competent in all aspects of pattern making like shrinkage, expansion of metal, mounting patterns and knowledge of the gating system.

The above technician should have a minimum of six years’ experience in a similar field and should be capable of working independently without any supervision and to train workers on the shop floor.

He will be responsible for design calculation like a spruce cup, choke, risers, runners granting systems for cast iron and ductile.
