ICT Systems Engineer wanted at Zebra Diamonds

Zebra Diamonds Is a diamond manufacturing company based in Gaborone, part of IGC group of companies (www.igcgroup.com)

The factory is a technology-rich facility which requires a full-time ICT Systems Engineer. Extensive training and support are provided by an international IT team.

Job Description

• Maintenance of hardware (servers, PC’s, Printers, Network…)
• Maintenance of software ( Operating systems, Desktop Applications)
• Responsible for consistent backups
• First line support and technical maintenance for existing and new applications (CAM, ERP. office…)
• Specialist in Rough planners ( Sarin and proprietary CAM applications)
• Development of reports and queries to help in understanding applications and business issues with the possibility to grow into an analyst position
• Obtain a thorough understanding of the production processes, HR requirements and other business processes and how they can be supported by Information Technology
• Work both independently and in a team of IT specialists

• You will be trained in the tools used at the company and supported by our international team of IT specialists

Main job criteria

• Male/Female
• Good communication skills, both speaking and writing, in English
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in IT
• 2-5 years working experience as Systems Engineer
• Knowledge in windows server operating systems. Virtualization is required
• Understanding database and knowing SQL in required
• Knowledge of Sarin planners or comparable is an advantage
• Knowledge In system hardware

Training

• Initially, you will get training on existing systems, methods and technologies
• Training will be on-Site in Botswana
• You are expected to become the main point of contact for all IT related questions
• Almost all of the software, from CAM over production follow-up and T&A HR systems are developed in House
