Integrated Early Childhood Development (IECD) Project Coordinator – HOPE worldwide Botswana

Summary

The Coordinator is responsible for maintaining a developmentally appropriate program of quality IECD plan and stimulation in an environment where Christian values are integrated and demonstrated. The Coordinator is responsible and accountable for the total program and services of the Integrated Early Childhood Development implementing sites.

Primary Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day activities at the IECD sites activities.
• Ensure that the IECD complies with national IECD guidelines at all times.
• Formulate HwwB vision for the Early Childhood
Development services.
• Recruitment, training, appraisal and supervision of IECD facilitating staff.
• Provide leadership and supervision of interactions,
activities, and materials appropriate for young children’s emotional, spiritual, social, intellectual and physical development.
• Plan, manage and monitor the IECD finances to ensure resources for a high quality program.
• Protect and enhance the health and safety of the children and staff at the IECD sites
• Maintain an inviting physical environment which fosters optimal growth and development.
• Facilitate fair admission and enrolment.
• Inform and welcome parents as observers and contributors to the program.
• Responsible for all IECD stakeholder relations, as well as representing HwwB at the program in all communities in which IECD is implemented.
• Responsible for planning, documentation, and report writing for IECD activities.

Qualifications

• Must have at least a Diploma in Early childhood Development or related
• Must have at least 3 years relevant experience with at least one year in middle management
• Must have leadership, planning, management administrative and organizational skills
• Must have NO criminal convictions for child-related offenses, including neglect or abuse
