SALARY SCALE: D1 (P311, 664- P344, 076) per annum

LEAVE: 30 working days per annum

BENEFITS:

QUALIFICATIONS

To be considered for appointment, applicants must have at least a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering/ Architecture, Quantity Survey or related fields. Project Management will be an added advantage.

EXPERIENCE

Applicants should have a minimum of twelve (12) years’ work experience in the relevant field, of which two (2) years should have been at D2 in Government or equivalent in Parastatal or Private.

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB

To plan, coordinate and monitor the implementation of all infrastructure projects under the Ministry of Nationality, Immigration and Gender Affairs.

DUTIES

• Coordinate and oversees the planning, design and construction of infrastructure projects under the Ministry of Nationality, Immigration and Gender Affairs.
• Advises the Permanent Secretary on project matters requiring policy action.
• Participates in the formulation and review of policies to ensure effective implementation of infrastructure projects.
• Develops effective systems to ensure implementation of project within time, quality and budget.
• Sets Project Management standards and institutes new procedures in accordance with Government standards to ensure adherence.
• Oversees the Management standards and institutes new procedures in accordance with Government standards to ensure adherence.
• Provides advice and guidance to clients on all infrastructure projects to ensure efficiency.
• Develops quality control procedures to ensure compliance with set standards.
• Facilitates skills development for the Project Implementation Unit staff.
• Undertakes any duty as assigned by Management.
