SUSTAINABILITY COORDINATOR – TENABLE IN LETLHAKANE – LUCARA BOTSWANA

Job Summary

Reporting to the Safety HooJth Environmental & Community Rotations Manager, the Sustainability Coordinator will be responsible for communicating and coordinating with Lucara Botswana stakeholders to address sustainability issues and oversee the Lucara Botswana Sustainability Strategy.

Effectiveness Areas:

• Develop and implement the Company sustainability strategy
• Develop and execute strategies to address issues such as energy use. resource conservation. recycling, pollution reduction, waste reduction, protection of biodiversity, education. etc
• Oversee the development and implementation of sustainability initiatives
• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of sustainability initiatives
• Review sustainability Initiative objectives, progress or status to ensure compliance with Company sustainability strategy, policies, procedures, standards, regulations and laws
• Develop the annual Lucara Diamond Corporation sustainability report
• Planning, budgeting and cost control
• Safety, health and environmental compliance

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science or other natural science degrees from a recognized institution.
• At least Seven (7) years post qualification experience with at least three years at a supervisory or equivalent level.
• Previous experience in sustainability and environmental science and In developing internal and external reports based on GRI, UNGC and UNSDGs will be an added advantage.
