INSTRUMENT TECHNICIAN (TOMRA XRT EQUIPMENT) – LUCARA BOTSWANA

Effectiveness Areas:

• Operating and maintaining of XRT. Laser Sorters and auxiliary equipment.
• Advanced Fault finding, troubleshooting, and diagnostics checks.
• Execute planned maintenance activities as per work instruction
• Support with plant shut-down.
• Completion of log sheet and Work Orders.
• Completion of Service and Maintenance Protocols.
• Completion of Spare Parts – fused) Stock Requisition Forms.
• Ensure High Quality work to ensure Sorter availability and reliability.
• Complete Incident Report.
• Report any fault, defect or abnormal plant condition.
• Other duties assigned by Supervisor.
• Attending Shift changes and H&S Meetings.
• Adhering to Health. Safety and Security rules, regulations and procedures.
• Give guidance to Operators.
• Stand-By duty as required.
• Ensure good housekeeping: ensure workplace. tools and equipment are well maintained. in safe working condition and kept clean.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Recognized Technician Diploma in Electronics / Control & Instrumentation Engineering or equivalent qualification
• Ideally Registered with the Board of Technicians.
• XRT radiation safety.
• XRT Sorting principle.
• XRT Hardware Architecture.
• XRT Software Architecture.
• Human Machine Interface.
• Executing a calibration.
• Executing a valve.
• Exchanging of the x-ray components
• Maintaining the HV cable.
• Exchanging solenoid.
• Cleaning the x-ray sensor.
• Checking the belt speed.
• Conducting Tracer test
