Botswana Ash (Pty) Ltd is a Soda Ash and Salt producing Company situated at Sua Pan in Botswana, approximately 180 km by tarred road northwest of Francistown. The Company employs over 500 employees of which close to 300 are unionised. Employees and their families live in Sowa Town, about 20 km from the plant site. The town boasts of recreational facilities, which Include restaurant, tennis, squash, swimming and golf. There Is also an excellent English medium pre-primary, primary and secondary school as well as public primary and junior secondary schools.

1. Teacher – High School (English and History)

Job Summary

The primary role of the position is to teach English Language & Literature and History from Form 1 to Form 4 classes. Further, the incumbent will be expected to teach the whole child by attending to the intellectual, emotional, social and physical development of the school child. In addition to the academic expected job delivery, the candidate will be expected to coach students in any one of the following: Netball, Soccer, Hockey, Swimming, Tennis, Softball, Athletics. Cricket, Chess and Music

Minimum Requirements

• A degree in English Language/Literature.
• A master’s degree in English Language/Literature would be an added advantage.
• A minimum of five years’ experience in teaching IGCSE, preferably in an English Medium School environment.
• The candidate must be a self-starter with a proven record of consistent performance at IGCSE or equivalent.
