LECTURER IN FINANCE (CITIZENS ONLY)

VACANCY NO. FB/ A&F 1/ 2019

Duties:  The successful candidate will be expected to (i) teach undergraduate and postgraduate level courses; (ii) supervise undergraduate and PhD research projects; (iii) conduct research; (iv) engage with the industry; and (v) perform any other duties as may be assigned by the Head of Department. The candidate should be able to teach some of the following courses: Financial Statement Analysis; Investment Analysis and Portfolio Management; Financial Planning and Forecasting; Financial Theory and Analysis; and Business Finance.

Requirements: Applicants should have (i) at least a Masters’ Degree in Finance or related field; (ii) a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or related field with at least a 2(i) pass/GPA of at least 3.6 or equivalent; (iii) show evidence of engagement in research and service. The following will be added advantages: a relevant PhD; a relevant professional qualification (e.g. CFA); teaching experience at a university or comparable institution; a good research record, consultancy work experience; and ability to teach Applied Finance Research and/or Research Methods.
