We seek assertive, hands-on, results-driven Individual, with good Interpersonal skills and keen interest in research to Join our team In the following position.

Research Nurse

The Incumbent should have a keen interest In research and will be required to perform tasks necessary for the implementation and monitoring of the study. Amongst other responsibilities, he/she will be required to;

• Implement the recruitment plans for potential study participants in consultation with the study team according to good clinical practice.
• Draw blood from mothers and Infants enrolled In the study In accordance with the study’s protocol
• Perform home visits as necessary to ensure mother-infant pairs are retained on the study.
• Obtain information about the death of any study participant.
• Carry out HIV Counseling, testing on uninfected women.
• Complete questionnaires and case report forms In accordance with the study’s protocol and entering the dz accurately into the EDC.
• Track potential study participants contacted during clinic visits and participants already enrolled on the sti to meet retention targets.
• Providing basic outpatient medical care to infants/children and their parents.

Qualifications and experience

• Diploma/Degree In Nursing with a minimum of 2 years experience in clinical research.
• Must be knowledgeable on HIV/AIDS treatment.
• Must be registered with Nursing and Midwifery Council of Botswana.
