Administrative/Finance Assistant – Job Opening 24639

Duty Station: Gaborone, Botswana

Under the guidance and direct supervision of the Operations Manager and in close collaboration with Programme Specialist – Economic Diversification and Inclusive Growth (EDIG), the Incumbent contributes to the effective and efficient Implementation and support to the EDIG program which contributes to UNDP’s role of supporting Botswana to achieve the 2030 Agenda, focusing on poverty eradication and reduction of Inequality and exclusion.

The Administrative and Finance Assistant will work in close collaboration with the Programme and Project teams as well as the team in the Country Office (CO) for effective achievement of results, anticipating and contributing to resolving complex Programme/project related issues and information delivery. The incumbent is expected to exercise full compliance with UNDP programming, financial, procurement and administrative rules, regulations, policies and strategies, as well as implementation of the internal control systems.

• Administrative and Financial support to the Programme Unit
• Facilitation of Procurement
