Job Summary

Reporting to Sidilega’s Audit and Risk Committee, the principal placement will be in Gaborone. The candidate will serve all the companies within the Group.

KEY EFFECTIVE AREAS

• Conduct Risk and Systems based Internal Audits throughout the Group:
• Provide a risk-oriented review of internal controls: advising on ways to improve the processes, policies and procedures within the Group: Performance of Risk management assessments throughout the Group companies on a continuous basis:
• Development and periodical review of the ‘Group’s risk policy standard’:
• Ensure that the risk management plan is widely disseminated throughout the Group and integrated in the day-to-day activities of the Group:
• Development of key risk indicators and tolerance levels;
• Implementation of appropriate risk responses; Determination of risks relating to the sustainability of each of the organizations within the Group. Analyzing and provide recommendations on existing operational efficiencies and business development activities;
• Advisory and secretary to Audit and Risk committees of the Group.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND

• Professional qualification CA. ACCA. CIMA or equivalent.
• Member of the Botswana Institute of Accountants;
• Member of the Institute of Internal Auditors / Holding certification on Internal Audits such as CIA or similar;
• Minimum of 5 years post qualification higher | experience in a similar position:
• Experience in a hospital environment will be an added advantage;
• Adequately computer literate to suit the demanding position and understanding of Computer Assisted Audit Techniques;
• Thorough understanding of Board and subcommittee roles and functions;
