Main Purpose of the Job:
1. Ensure that all Countries USSD, Internet Banking, Client Mobile apps are stable, operating at premium efficiency and that the service is secure, reliable/stable.
2. Deliver USSD, Internet Banking, Client Mobile apps and VAS projects ensuring that the required Functionality is achieved within the agreed budgets and timelines of the project.
3. Be the lead USSD, Internet Banking, Client Mobile apps and VAS technical advisor for the Group.
4. Development of appropriate Monitoring of USSD, Internet Banking, Client Mobile apps solutions to ensure that Service Management, usage statistics and uptime can be accurately measured, monitored and maximized.
5. Responsible for the development and implementation of end to end USSD, Internet Banking, Client Mobile apps security, governance and risk mitigation strategies and programmes in line with industry standards.
6. Supervise Contracted Staff, Developers and vendors to ensure they complete work and support the business within agreed service levels and target dates.
7. Supports the Group’s subsidiaries on day to day operational USSD, Internet Banking, Client Mobile apps support.

Main responsibilities:
1. Develop and document USSD, Internet Banking, Client Mobile apps logical design and transaction processing workflow.
2. Perform and/or provide guidance on USSD, Internet Banking, Client Mobile apps to the Business and technical committees, on the system capabilities and functionality.
3. Investigation into user/system problems by performing a root cause analysis, verifying test case scenarios and collecting required data/log information to be sent to the Developer/Vendor for escalation if need be.
4. Ensure that a thorough verifications/tests of Developer/Vendor supplied solutions in UAT environments before deploying to production and developing deployment guide documentation.
5. Ensure USSD, Internet Banking, Client Mobile apps have initial Penetration Testing performed and the regular / scheduled Pentests over the life cycle of the particular solution.
6. Ensure USSD, Internet Banking, Client Mobile apps systems and associated software’s are up to date, patched and not vulnerable or do not pose any security risk to the business.
7. Liaise with the developers/vendors and outsourced contractors directly on departmental support and performance against service level agreements.
8. Provide support to Junior E-Channels support analysts that have escalated issues and/or users on the USSD, Internet Banking, Client Mobile apps.
9. Perform user access recertification at-least Bi-annual on USSD, Internet Banking, Client Mobile apps backend systems.
10. Ensure all user incidents and changes that are assigned to yourself, are resolved/implemented within the defined SLA timelines.
11. Continuously seeks to improve user satisfaction and ultimately customer satisfaction, loyalty and retention by ensuring that his/her provides an excellent user experience.
12. Set standards associated with data confidentiality, integrity of corporate data, proprietary information and intellectual property, and ensure that these are implemented across USSD, Internet Banking, Client Mobile apps portfolio.
13. Develop a Disaster Recovery plan/runbook for USSD, Internet Banking, Client Mobile apps and ensure restoration procedures (test/live) are done in line with regulations, internal audit recommendations and Business Continuity Management plan.
14. Ensure that USSD, Internet Banking, Client Mobile apps system backups are in place, and periodically tested at-least Bi-annual to ensure backups are functional.
15. Ensure Audit items are closed within agreed timelines.

Requirements
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, Information technology or related technical degree from an appropriately accredited institution OR equivalent of 5 years similar job experience.

Background/Experience:
1. At least 3 years of technology experience of which at least 2 years have been in a technical role that has a multitude of business and technical demands.
2. Technical competencies on system integrations and agile software development principles.
3. Strong software troubleshooting/analytical skills.
4. Knowledge of Ruby on Rails and other languages is an added advantage.
5. Experience on real time systems, USSD, Internet Banking, Mobile apps and solution design.
6. Information security understanding and ability to execute on policies.
7. Very good knowledge of GSM and related protocols, IP fundamentals
