SENIOR MAINTENANCE SUPERINTENDENT- DRILLING – MAJWE MINING

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the incumbent will work collaboratively towards delivering high-quality solutions and results to ensure equipment performs to the required availability and reliability to meet production demands within budget and also ensuring that all plant equipment conforms to local and company health, safety and environmental standards and requirements

• Consistently maintain leadership behaviours that set an example for colleagues and clearly demonstrate the Majwe principles.
• Consult regularly with maintenance planning team, project technical services and the mining operations team to ensure effective communication of changes to maintenance or production plans.
• Oversee, plan and control all weekly and daily mobile drilling maintenance activities in a safe and efficient manner
• Manage and coordinate team’s activities by setting performance objectives and allocating appropriate resources
• Ensure comprehensive records are established and maintained to assist decision making
• Develop and Implement strategies to achieve reliability and availability levels
• Manage, influence and empower direct reports to plan and execute maintenance work to ensure the project performance targets are achieved
• Maintain a professional relationship with suppliers and subcontractors

• Trade Qualification or Engineering Degree preferred
• Degree holders must be registered with Engineers’ Registration Board
• At least 15 years’ experience in open cast mining environment
• At least 5 years’ experience in similar leadership role within open cast mining
• In-depth mechanical and electrical knowledge of Drilling equipment Maintenance
• Demonstrated experience with the management of budgets and cost control
• Experience with maintenance planning, contract management and asset management
• Proficient in MS Office and experience with JDE highly desirable
• Contract Management, Including suppliers and subcontractor experience
• Adaptability to changing operational situations
• Skilled in negotiation and influencing senior managers and superintendents
