The position is based at Palapye and is offered on pensionable or fixed term contract of up to five (5) years.

MANAGER, EMPLOYEE RELATIONS

REF: HR 02/19

Main Purpose of the Job

To develop, recommend and provide advice and support on the application of the conditions of employment and employee relations policies and procedures to ensure a fair and consistent approach aimed at promoting a positive organizational climate and harmonious employee relations.

Qualifications and Experience

Education

A recognized Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management/Development,

Industrial Relations/Psychology or related field.

Master’s Degree would be an added advantage.

Professional/Technical:

Skills training (short courses) on labour legislation and practices preferably in Botswana, by a locally accredited training institution or trainer.

Experience

At least eight (8) years post qualification experience in diverse human resource practices, three (3) of which should have been at a similar or equivalent level, directly dealing with industrial/employee relations matters. Knowledge and understanding of Botswana labour laws and practices is essential
