Introduction

Our client in the microfinance industry is looking for suitability qualified and experienced candidates for the position of Group Senior Network Engineer.

Specification

• Responsible for the Group’s ICT Infrastructure including: Networks such as LAN, WAN, Datacentre network components, communication infrastructure, third party connections, Server, VOIP and Call Centres, Firewalls and other Information Security elements

• The responsibilities include including designing, installation, configuration, support and maintenance, and the planning, maintaining, and monitoring of hardware, operating systems (Windows Server, Linux, Windows Desktop and MacOS) network routers and switches and Enterprise Service Management tools, of the Groups Financial Delivery and support systems

• To investigate and advise improvements and savings within the environment.

Requirements

1.Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, math or engineering or related technical degree from an appropriately accredited institution; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

2. Requires a minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in Networking

3. Ability to troubleshoot standard/common networking, routing, operating systems and software/hardware issues.

4. Ability to listen to symptom descriptions to analyze problems and to resolve effectively.

5. Ability to perform job with minimal supervision.

6. Ability to work independently on tasks, develops own work, schedule and monitors progress against defined parameters.

7. Strong written and verbal skills for communication to subordinates, peers and superiors;
